The Copenhagen Major 2025 has shattered betting records across CS2 gambling platforms, with preliminary data suggesting over $50 million wagered on group stage matches alone. The tournament, which features 24 of the world's best teams, has captivated the esports betting community.

Record-Breaking Numbers

Multiple betting platforms have reported all-time highs in both betting volume and concurrent users during Major matches. Thunderpick and Rivalry, two of the largest licensed esports betting sites, both confirmed record days during the opening weekend.

The most heavily bet match so far has been the Group A showdown between NAVI and FaZe Clan, which saw over $8 million in wagers across platforms. NAVI entered as slight favorites but the match went to overtime, creating significant volatility in live betting markets.

Skin Betting Surge

Beyond traditional esports betting sites, CS2 skin gambling platforms have also seen increased activity. Sites offering match betting with skins report that Major-related wagers account for approximately 40% of all skin betting volume during the tournament.

This comes despite Valve's recent announcement banning skin gambling sponsorships from tournament jerseys, suggesting that player interest in skin betting remains strong regardless of official Valve policy changes.

Looking Ahead

As the tournament progresses into the playoff stages, betting activity is expected to intensify further. The grand final, scheduled for January 26, is projected to be the most-bet CS2 match in history if current trends continue.
